Rasmussen added that "vaccines don't offer a hundred percent protection against getting sick, they also aren't a hundred percent likely to protect against transmission." The CDC, however, notes that fully vaccinated people can gather indoors when visiting other fully vaccinated people without physical distancing or wearing masks, but must avoid doing so in the presence of unvaccinated and other individuals with an increased risk of contracting the lethal virus.

Further adding to the need to maintain health measures is the fact that not all regions are getting their entire population inoculated. According to the Council on Foreign Relations, while the emergency use of several vaccines has been approved for countries such as China, Russia, the UK and the US, a vast majority of other regions have either only given shots to a small fraction of their population or are yet to even begin.
