Pistol-like paintbrush handles ease burden on hands

Physical pain and fatigue is an inevitable part of doing any home repair task, including just painting the house, that’s why convenient tools are a must. One paint tool manufacturer, US-based GalaxG Tools, has come up with a solution that reduces DIY painters’ hand stress.

The company’s latest paintbrush handle models, featured in the 2016 National Hardware Show, are pistol-shaped and are slide-on types for easy attachment to existing handles. While there are many angled or bent brushes already available in the market, most are still made of wood or hard materials.

The company’s Freehand ErgoMaster Pro and Freehand Anti-Fatigue Paint Brush Handle models dare to be different, the former adopting a form-fitting design for any size of paintbrush and a comfortable grip adjustable for big or small hands. It can also be connected to tool mounts of the same brand for handsfree work. The latter suits even smaller brushes for specific paint application areas. Both put the weight over the hand, with support coming from the arm instead of the wrist.

Ergonomics is becoming a key selling point in paint tools that keeps on improving. In Asia, comfortable and easy-to-use paint tool accessories are also available. There are suppliers offering various soft-grip anti-fatigue paint brushes and plastic brush guiders that help the holder paint quickly in a straight direction.
