A winner of the Red Dot award, Shenzhen Xiaoxi Technology Co. Ltd’s Xiaoxi Robot is shaped like a cat. The educational robot, which was featured at the October 2015 Global Sources Mobile Electronics show, suits children 5 to 10 years old. It has a 7in tablet as its face, and can support more than 40 languages. Children can make video calls by simply touching the icon of their parents, grandparents or other relatives. Parents can use the product as a remote monitoring device through a smartphone app. The tail of the robot is a battery alert, which turns red when the power is low. The company's engineers are developing more software for the product.

Shenzhen Xiaoxi exports to Australia, New Zealand, Brazil and Belgium, among other markets. The company is a recipient of several design awards including China Red Star and Golden Pin.
