Smart charger cable locates keys, stores up to 64GB [Startup Launchpad]

Hong Kong-based startup GOdevices Ltd has launched on Indiegogo a crowdfunding campaign for GOkey, a smart USB charger cable boasting of a variety of functions. Built with an 835mAh battery, the product can recharge a smartphone by up to 30 percent or about two hours' worth of power. It also supports data synchronization and can connect with up to five gadgets at once via Wi-Fi. The device can manage and protect files with a password for enhanced security. Working with a mobile app, it can locate small items, including keys and even smartphones, within a radius of 100ft. The smart accessory can likewise work as a remote camera shutter and a flash memory with storage options of 16, 32 or 64GB.

GOkey has an LED light to indicate the battery level. Lightning and Micro-USB connectors are supported. Available shades are black and white.

Established in 2014, GOdevices has so far raised more than 1.2 million in funding for the GOkey. The product is set for retail launch in 2017.
