The model M5 smart socket from Shenzhen Atsmart Technology Co. Ltd can be controlled with WeChat via Zigbee, which consumes less power and has greater efficiency than other short-distance communication technology, including Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. It has a touchscreen to control power and a digital clock. The unit can operate via a preset schedule using WeChat or the Internet.

The smart socket integrates four dual and triplugs, and two 2.1A USB charging ports. The unit weighs 590g while product dimensions are 270x88x50mm. It also comes with lighting-protection and child-lock features.
