This T-shirt rocks! It is just a bummer that they are designed only for kids.
A collaboration between Germany-based textile designer Selina Reiterer and architect Constantinos Miltiadis from Greece, the project, called John Paul George & Me, is a collection of children's T-shirts that play music when touched.
They are available in guitar, bass and drum designs, each representing the traditional instruments in a rock band and producing the same sound as well.
The patterns are made of conductive thread that sense touch through a microcontroller attached on the shirt's pocket. The device then sends signals to an app via Bluetooth that plays the sound on a mobile device.
The prints are flexible, washable, nontoxic and water-soluble, ensuring that they do not pose health hazards.
The shirt won second place in the recently concluded Reshape15 Wearable Technology Competition.
Below is a video of John Paul George & Me in action.
