The Fall/Winter 2015-16 Fashion runway shows in New York, London, Paris and Milan paraded an array of necklaces from fresh designs to pieces inspired by decades past. Many served as charming accents to the equally attractive outfits worn by models as they work the catwalk.

Chokers combined with colorful jewels and animalskin were seen at the Balenciaga and Givenchy runways. Balmain had golden chokers paired with stacked golden bangles and oversized hoop earrings. Italian fashion house Etro presented gold-plated double-strand pieces. Pearl versions with twisted ends caught the eyes as well.

Breastplate necklaces also stayed on course for the fall and winter seasons, with Tory Burch offering ethnic versions. Giambattista Valli's necklace showcased an abstract motif that is best paired with a minimalist outfit. Dries Van Noten put a spin on the neckwear by using fabrics and feathers instead of metal.

Chanel's beaded necklaces were falling low almost resembling body chains. These were clear with white or gray portions to complement the traditional tweed looks.
