A Los Angeles, California-based startup is veering away from the ecologically destructive ways of fast fashion with the launch of unisex clothing line made of 100 percent environment-friendly materials.
Unlike its name, Bad Decision Adventure Club or BDAC, the company is making sound decisions by creating a brand that not only shatters gender barriers but also does its share in fighting climate change.
The line, which founders Rachel Grant and Alyssa Gudino dub as uni-luxe, short for unisex-luxury, comes in eight simple styles, ranging from bomber jackets and long-sleeved T-shirts to oversized drawstring shorts and jumpsuits. All utilize hemp and organic cotton that are sustainably raised and cultivated in California.
The garments are available in four neutral shades, namely white, tan, pink and black, and come in sizes XS to XXL.
But feeling it needs to go beyond gender equality and environmental preservation to make a difference, BDAC has partnered with Skid Row Housing Trust, a nonprofit organization that "develops and operates permanent supportive housing for individuals who have experienced homelessness in Los Angeles."
The brand's full collection can be viewed on its official website and Facebook page.
