Origin GPS Nano Spider is now the smallest GPS module on the market.

Wearables are always in a constant battle for size against functionality. As a result, smaller and more energy-efficient components are essential for creating smaller and more fashionable wearables. That is why new components that are smaller are so important for the future viability of the industry.

At only 4.1×4.1×2.1mm, the new Nano Spider from Origin GPS is the smallest GPS module on the market, beating the previous record holder, the Jupiter SE880 from Telit. Unlike the Jupiter, however, the new module not only has GPS capabilities but incorporates GNSS functionality as well. The new component from Origin GPS is 75 percent smaller than previous GPS module from the company.

Another plus factor is the unit's low power consumption and its basic standardization, which should allow the unit to be installed in existing architectures.
