Manufacturers and innovators are offering features-packed yet compact hydroponic systems, and making sure new products are still visually pleasing. Indoor gardening enthusiasts and companies now have many trendy options sprouting around. Among the latest is the Kickstarter-funded USB Plant Grower from Swen Duerigen.
USB Plant Grower is a hydroponic system that doubles as a desk lamp. With LED tube lights, its transparent body lights up to show the silhouette of the plant’s roots. Users can choose from 300 hues and adjust intensity and the top lamp. A pump that supplies oxygen for the plant is integrated. The plug-and-play system can be charged through PCs, power supplies and other USB devices.
The USB hydroponic desk lamp is said to be capable of growing flowers, herbs and spices for homes and offices. It also is suitable as mood lighting. The product ships to its backers in August. Seed and nutrient packs are included in the package.
Other hydroponic systems that also aim to keep the user amused, have transparent built-in fish tanks or Bluetooth music players in the body instead. All of these innovations indicate there’s more to look forward to in these products.
