Vietnam gift packaging highlights event-specific motifs, shapes

Gift bags and boxes with prints or structures linked to certain events or holidays are on trend.

Gift packaging suppliers in Vietnam are expanding their selections of themed bags and boxes. Among recent releases are models with patterns, colors or embellishments associated with Christmas, Valentine's Day, Halloween, the Mid-Autumn Festival and other events. Products designed for occasions such as birthdays, weddings and baby showers are also being offered.

In line with the trend for event-specific packaging, makers are also providing buyers more choices shapewise. The latest bags and boxes are contoured or have compartments meant to hold specific food or non-food items.

Options for Valentine's Day gifts include heart-shaped models for confectioneries and baked goods. Boxes designed like animals, fruit and flowers for rings and other pieces of jewelry are also available. For Christmas, Santa Claus, reindeers, snowmen and Christmas trees are popular motifs.

Rising eco-consciousness in various markets is prompting the use of recycled paper or biodegradable PP in gift packaging. Suppliers are also offering bamboo models, which can be used as decorative storage.
