The Sunlight LED Window uses a separate sensor to copy the brightness of light that passes through a real window.

A wall light that looks like a real window and can imitate the sun’s brightness is currently up for crowdfunding in Indiegogo.
Designed by Regina Putyrae, the Sunlight LED Window makes use of a smart sensor that sticks on existing windows. The said sensor will take into account the amount of real lighting outside, copy it and adjust the Sunlight LED Window’s brightness. Connection is via RF. With a solar cell, the sensor’s battery does not need to be plugged in for charging. It already draws power during daytime while attached to a window.
Besides its automatic functions, the windowlike light is convenient for it is easy to hang on walls like a picture frame via a hook or string. Various sizes and office-suitable versions are available.
Wall lights can already shift from warm to cool lighting temperatures but the windowlike light shows that these can now be designed to blend better with natural lighting in various areas of the home.
