Is there a maximum file size for the images I upload?
There is a 2 megabyte (MB) limit in all image attachments.

Can I upload a product image in Bitmap (.bmp) format?
No. Product images should be in JPEG (.jpg) format.
• JPEG supports 16 million colors so it displays a high quality image that best suits photographs and complex graphics
• Bitmap cannot be viewed on a web browser

Why do I fail to upload an image in JPEG format?
If the image that you tried to upload is confirmed to be in JPEG format, but you still fail to upload it to your Private Supplier Catalog, the problem may be on the color mode. The browser does not support CMYK image; hence you cannot upload it in your Private Supplier Catalog. Please convert the image from CMYK to RGB.
Most image-editing software packages, like Photoshop, have this function.

Can I upload an image in PDF format?
Yes, but images in PDF are only acceptable for Location Map in the Visit Us Company Profile section.

Can I upload more than one image for my Product Profile?
Yes — if you are a 1-star supplier or higher, you can post one main image and 7 additional images for each product profile.

What are the specifications of the product images?
Image format: JPEG
Image size: at least 38 KB, less than 2 MB
Dimension: 5 inches by 5 inches (12.7 X 12.7 cm or 360 X 360 pixels)
Resolution: at least 100 dpi
Color mode: RGB

The image I see online is different from the one I submitted. What happened?
If you submit the Product Profile with the image for posting, the Global Sources Quality Assurance team may enhance your image for online viewing.

Can I delete a product image once it is uploaded?
No. However, you can replace the existing product image with a new one.

To do this:
1. In the Created folder in Products Home, click on the Product Profile whose product image you want to update.
2. On the Product Profile page, click on Browse to search for your new product image file. The new image, in thumbnail size, will be reflected in the Product Profile.
3. Click Save.
