LEXO Smart Mugs are a first of its kind drinkware line. LEXO mugs have the ability to cool a scalding hot cup of coffee or tea from their dangerously high brewing temperatures, down to the perfect drinking temperature range almost immediately and hold the ideal range up to eight hours.

Utilizing Smart Material for Keeping Drinks Warm
LEXO drinkware is different from all other products from the standpoint that it is constructed from three layers of stainless steel. Referring to the cutaway image attached to this submission, those three walls create two chambers in the mug: one of which is a vacuum insulation layer to keep the drink perfectly hot or ice cold for a long period of time and the second is our phase change Smart Material. This Smart Material is a 100% bio-based and renewable synthetic beeswax, derived from vegetable oils that melts at a very particular temperature. When one pours in a hot beverage, the wax instantly melts and absorbs the excess heat from the drink. Once the perfect temperature range is reached, the stored heat is then released back into the beverage to hold that perfect temperature all day. LEXO performs all of these functions without a battery or electricity of any kind. No potentially dangerous lithium ion batteries, just physics. Simple innovation in mind, LEXO naturally Smart Mugs are BPA free and dishwasher safe.
The design process behind LEXO was simple; burning your mouth on anything can lead to very serious problems from fender benders due to spilled hot coffee ranging all the way up to esophageal cancer cell formation.
