Air coolers remain widely used in computing, especially in mainstream and budget PC builds, for their simple design, high reliability and cost advantage. But high-performance applications, such as in gaming computers and data centers, require more advanced solutions such as all-in-one (AIO) coolers.
To cater to these market segments, Chinese suppliers offer a range of both air and AIO CPU coolers. While the first type forms the bulk of production, they are highlighting the latter water-based technology in product initiatives for its increasing popularity.
Companies continue to build on what these liquid-cooling alternatives offer such as low noise and high ventilation and stability. Some use an eight-pole motor in their releases for a quieter, smoother and more stable operation, a pure copper base for higher thermal conductivity and an FEP polymer hose for enhanced flexibility, chemical resistance, temperature tolerance and durability.
Typical CPU coolers that can be sourced from China have a rated voltage of 12VDC, fan speed of 600 to 3,000rpm, noise level of less than 30dB and maximum life span of 50,000 hours. They meet UL, CE and RoHS requirements.
Chinese manufacturers source components, including fans, fins, pipes and pumps, domestically. The cost of these materials is expected to stay stable and keep CPU cooler prices at current levels in the months ahead.
