Amazon reveals top toy picks for the holidays

The list includes not only long-time crowd favorites, but also new ones that teach children through interaction.

With the holidays quickly approaching, shopping for the hottest toys for children comes to mind. In line with this, e-commerce company Amazon has released its list of the 25 hottest toys this 2018. The list has been curated by in-house experts, influencers, kids and parents who were consulted by the company.

Smart and interactive toys are gathering a huge following. This includes Baby Alive Potty Dance Baby, FurReal Star Wars Chewie and Munchin' Rex Plush, Pomsies Patches, Little Live Scruff-a-Luvs, LittleBits Avengers Hero Inventor Kit, Moj Moj Claw Machine Playset and Lego Harry Potter Hogwarts Great Hall Building Kit.

STEM-related products are also in the top this year’s list. Coding toys such as the Kano Harry Potter Coding Kit, Lego Boost Creative Toolbox, and robots including the Anki Cozmo and the Ozobot Bit are sought after by parents to teach their kids about programming. The Osmo Genius Kit, another popular item, turns a regular iPad into a hands-on learning tool.

You've Got Crabs, Monopoly Cheaters' Edition and Hasbro's Don’t Step In It are the top picks when it comes to board and card games.
