Easy management of household systems, all through a simple tap of a button or voice command.

Too tired to walk across the hall just to turn off the lights? No problem. Smart home devices can do the job with a simple tap on a smartphone. Some motion sensors even turn off the lights when they no longer detect movement in the room.
And as more virtual voice assistants make their way into even more homes, convenience and comfort are all just a voice command away. Take for example waking up and simply telling Amazon’s Alexa to power up the coffee machine for that morning caffeine intake. AIexa can also change the room temperature, call an Uber or even search flight information.
This is a big jump from a short eight years ago when Apple's Siri ushered in the "Modern Era of voice assistants" but could only provide basic information such as time, weather, caller, and location.
Fast-forward to today. Google Assistant and Microsoft's Cortana have joined the ranks of voice assistants, which are now smarter and capable of carrying out more advanced tasks in a smart home setting.

Thanks to automation, home security has advanced as well. Smart door locks have sensors that can detect the owners' location and automatically unlock when they are nearby. Surveillance and CCTV systems, security lights, alarms and sensors can automatically alert homeowners in real time of possible external threats. Users can even be notified via an app when they are away.
Home safety also gets a boost as today’s smart sensors automatically warn against smoke, and gas and water leaks.
With all these smart devices packed into the house, one cannot help but worry about the electric bill. Contrary to popular misconception, smart gadgets actually give homeowners the power to minimize their energy consumption. According to an entry in Constellation's Energy Blog, "smart-home hubs can turn appliances off completely when not in use, eliminating the energy drain caused by 'idling' appliances and improving energy conservation."
These smart devices, particularly security solutions, are driving home automation with revenue projected to exceed $57 million by 2024 from $18 million this year, according to a new report by Juniper Research.
As home automation gains even more traction, Global Sources Verified Suppliers are keeping up with the pace, releasing smart automation systems that are a must for a truly connected home.
