Smart light switches are a major element of the home and building automation trend, bringing enhanced convenience and security. They can work as traditional or dummy switches while enabling remote access, scheduling and other settings and connectivity with other smart devices. In China, the mainstream selection consists of single-, double- and multiway types with or without LED indicator lights. These devices have typical specifications of 220 to 240V rated voltage, 10 or 16A rated current and over 30,000-cycle life span. They are generally in white, black and gray, with other colors available on request. Most units come in sizes of 86x86mm, 118x72mm and 120x78mm. There are water-resistant versions, usually with an above IP65 rating. All types are made based on UL, CE and RoHS requirements.
For materials used including PC, tempered glass, copper and aluminum, Chinese manufacturers normally turn to domestic suppliers.
The cost of copper is expected to be relatively stable in the coming months, unlike the previous year, which will keep prices of light switches unchanged.
