From eye-catching ornate pieces to royalty-inspired designs, fashion website Fashionisers.com compiled the hair accessories trends prevalent in the recently concluded Fashion Weeks in New York, London, Milan and Paris. Here are some of the trends that are expected to dominate in fall and winter 2016-17.

Brooches, barrettes and clips adorned with jewels are anticipated to turn heads. At the fashion shows, Alexander McQueen paraded brooches and clips shaped like flowers, stars and evil eyes with punk chains while Dolce & Gabbana showcased a medley of bejeweled bows.

Princess-style tiaras and headbands flourished at the runways as well. Tommy Hilfiger matched elegant triangular tiaras with baby doll dresses. Sparkling gemstone headbands bannered Ashley Williams' collection.

In addition, the fashion shows presented both plain and bejeweled bobby pins. Ryan Lo showcased floral-themed pieces while Ashley Williams used rhinestone pins to complement gemstone earrings and necklaces.

Dolce & Gabbana also revealed Babushka-style headscarves with stone-embellished black lace. Mary Katrantzou, meanwhile, utilized Soviet-inspired bright prints for her collection.
