Qcom Technology Inc. has launched the QBT601-3 proximity tag, a Bluetooth 4.0-based anti-loss tag. Using a coin-type Lithium battery CR2032, this proximity tag connects with other devices such as a smartphone and tablet through the LinkMaster app. The battery is replaceable and can last for a maximum of two years. Both the device and the tag will alarm when they depart from each other at a given distance set by the user through LinkMaster. Using the said app, the tag can also turn on the device's alarm and vice versa.
Users have the liberty to turn on and off the buzzer, vibration, and LED according to their needs. The QBT601-3 proximity tag can be used with iPhone, iPad, PC/NBs and other portable devices. It weighs 13g (including battery and ring) and measures 27(W)x45(L)x11(H)mm. This tag works within a 20-meter range.
