The pre-school "residence module" is brilliant

In order to enable new students to deepen their understanding of management elements, quickly enhance their previous exchanges and understanding, and integrate into the CEIBS EMBA family as soon as possible, CEIBS EMBA offers new students A four-day "Residence Module" study. From March 14th to March 21st, EMBA freshmen from all over the world, and even from the other side of the ocean, gathered at CEIBS and participated in the residency module in two batches.

One of the highlights of the "Residence Module": The course starts with leadership. Unlike previous CEIBS entrance residence modules, this year's course starts with leadership development. In the first class of the residency module, Mobley, William H., a professor of management at China Europe International Business School, asked students the first question: "What exactly is leadership?"

Since 2006 In the beginning, CEIBS will conduct a 360-degree leadership evaluation for each student upon admission, and then the organizational behavior teacher will help students analyze the evaluation results and formulate a leadership development plan. Under the guidance of professors, compare the differences between the two assessments in the graduation and residency module, reflect on the gains and shortcomings of the two-year study, and formulate a long-term leadership development plan after graduation, so as to guide effective organizational change and development.

The new "Leadership Development" module, launched in 2006, will be conducted using the Leadership 360-degree Assessment Tool, a leadership assessment tool developed by CEIBS management professor Mao Boli. This practice of systematically guiding students' leadership development based on the results of the students' actual ability test is the first in a domestic business school.

The second highlight of the "Residence Module": "Hometown Association" enhances the cohesion of students CEIBS EMBA currently recruits 630 students each year and has a strong alumni network. Over the past 11 years, the college has recruited and trained more than 3,800 outstanding EMBA students, including leaders and elites from all walks of life in China, as well as senior executives of multinational companies in China and senior managers of enterprises in other countries.

In the "Residence and Study Module", CEIBS has launched the "Hometown Association" module with a breakthrough this year, which divides students into South China and Hong Kong and Taiwan regions, Jiangsu and Anhui, Zhejiang and Jiangxi, Great Northern Region, Southwest and central China, Shanghai, overseas and other major areas are convenient for CEIBS students from all over the world to support, communicate with nostalgia, and seek common development. In addition, through various games and outdoor activities, the "team building" module allows students to quickly change from unfamiliar to familiar, and enhances the relationship between students.

The third highlight of the "Residence Module": The Humanities Lectures Are Exciting After famous artists such as Yu Qiuyu, Shang Changrong, Xu Zhong, Xin Lili, Chen Changfen visited CEIBS one after another, as part of the new "Residence Module", CEIBS He also invited Mr. Zhou Haihong, Vice President of the Central Conservatory of Music, and Ms. Wang Xiaohui, a famous artist living in Germany, to give lectures on humanities and arts to the freshmen, to cultivate their sentiments and build a bridge to enter the arts.

Compared with some business schools that simply emphasize business education, CEIBS EMBA not only trains successful managers, but also leaders with culture, taste and charisma. "They have higher pursuits than success. They can read financial statements, and they can speak poetry; they can strategize in shopping malls, but art appreciation is just as calm. Invite world-class artists to give lectures to managers, and also Because they are the embodiment of the CEIBS school motto "Conscientiousness, Innovation, Pursuit of Excellence"." Professor Liang Neng, Director of CEIBS EMBA, commented.

The fourth highlight of the "Residence Module": "Management Practice" pre-school warm-up In order to enable new students to deepen their understanding of management elements, quickly enhance their previous exchanges and understanding, and integrate into the CEIBS EMBA family as soon as possible, this time CEIBS EMBA made a breakthrough in opening an eight-day "Residence Module" study for new students.

From March 14th to March 21st, EMBA freshmen from all over the world, and even from the other side of the ocean, gathered together to study and live together at CEIBS. During this period, the "Team Building" and "Hometown Association" modules turned them from unfamiliar to familiar, and quickly increased the understanding and trust among classmates. The three lectures on humanistic quality brought by famous literary and artistic scholars will bring the influence of arts and humanities to these senior executives, and improve the humanistic quality of these business elites.

The two-and-a-half-day "Management Simulation (TechMark)" module is an EMBA professional warm-up course. Students form different teams to carry out research and development, marketing, production and financial operations in a simulated business environment in order to achieve established financial goals. This module cleverly incorporates many management elements, as well as numerous concepts such as Economic Value Added (EVA), Return on Equity (ROE), Weighted Average Cost of Capital (WACC). During the simulation, the professor teaches key management concepts step-by-step and guides students to learn to think through strategies and tactics in order to achieve the goal of increasing shareholder value.

In this form of teamwork, the 443 new students quickly became familiar with each other, became like-minded alumni, and quickly entered the state of learning. Some high-performing team members believe that a clever blend of teamwork and leadership is the key to success. During the simulation operation, the professor's guidance on important management concepts also made the new students look forward to the next two years of management courses and are eager to try them out.

"Corporate Social Responsibility" has become the first class of EMBA admissions

"Corporate Social Responsibility" has become a topic of increasing concern nowadays. On the occasion of the opening ceremony of these business elites, China Europe International Business School invited one of the leading figures in the Chinese legal circle, Professor Jiang, a visiting professor at China Europe International Business School, to give them a class on "Entrepreneurship and Social Responsibility" .

Professor Jiang warned these successful entrepreneurs from major companies: "You come to study, what CEIBS solves is not a simple management knowledge or a simple management skill, but our role in the society. What kind of responsibility, what kind of image, what kind of role should be assumed."

"We propose 'corporate citizenship' to let everyone know that an enterprise not only gives you many rights by law, but also At the same time, they must undertake obligations. In this sense, citizens are a complex of rights and obligations. There is a big debate in the revision of the "Company Law", that is, whether to include the words "social responsibility" that enterprises should undertake. But look around the "Company Law" of the advanced countries in the world, it is written that there is social responsibility. Every country in the world clearly states that the purpose of enterprises is to make profits, but now they all mention the responsibility of enterprises to society. ."

The EMBA student source structure is "three pillars"

As an EMBA program with a huge enrollment scale in the world, the enrollment scale of the CEIBS EMBA program has expanded by another class (60 students) on the basis of last year, and enrolled students in three places throughout the year The number of people reached more than 630, a record high. It is reported that about 45% of this batch of trainees are from listed companies and private enterprises, 36% are from joint ventures and foreign-funded enterprises, and 12% are from state-owned enterprises and government departments. The average age of the trainees is 37 years old, the average number of years of work experience is 14 years, and 27% have a master's degree or above. 84% of the trainees are from the middle and senior management level of enterprises.
