Sometimes people don't realize how essential simple every day accessories can be. This is must be the reason a concept for a 2-in-1 activewear accessory that combines a chic bracelet with an elastic hair band raised $24,000 in Kickstarter, more than double its initial target of $10,000.
"When creating Savi Sleek, we wanted beauty to go hand-in-hand with function and convenience," said Terry Leon in a press statement. "We want Savi Sleek to be a part of you and to be your next go-to accessory." Leon is the founder of Savi Style, the California-based startup behind the product.
Leon describes the Savi Sleek as a fashionable activewear accessory for women on the go. It is a stylish way women can keep a hair tie handy while avoiding having hair tie indents on their wrists.
The bracelet is made of medical-grade silicone, which is flexible, durable and safe for all skin types. It comes with a groove cut the company calls partial encapsulation channel, which conveniently holds the elastic hair tie. The patent-pending activewear accessory comes in three sizes and four core colors, namely white, pink, black and teal. It is water- and sweat-resistant, and 100 percent manufactured in the US.
The Savi Sleek was available on Kickstarter for a discounted price of $17 to $20. Early-bird contributors will have their orders shipped next month. The hair tie-bracelet combo will retail for $29.
