Lap desks have been around for some time, and are available in all sizes and designs. Some have cubby holes at the ends. Others have foldable legs for easy storage when not in use. And with the indispensability of gadgets these, it is important to consider how cubbies for these can be incorporated into lap desks.
With this in mind, Phoenix, Arizona-based iSkelter created Tab, a lap desk with a slot to prop up a tablet or smartphone for easy maneuvering and viewing. The slot can hold an iPad, iPad mini, and most other small and large tablets, including the Surface tablets. One side of the Tab has a dry erase board made of acrylic.
The product is made of premium handfinished bamboo. It is about 15x11.5in and weighs 2.4 pounds. Retail price is $49.99
