In China, widely available LED drivers include isolated, non-isolated, constant-current and constant-voltage types. They have 90 to 250VAC input voltage and 4 to 135VDC, 0.4 to 300W output, with a typical efficiency of over 85 percent. There are water-resistant versions as well. All such products have built-in protection from overvoltage and -current conditions, short circuits and surges from lightning and comply with industry safety standards, including UL, CE, GS, TÜV and RoHS.
Chinese manufacturers use driver ICs, passive components, PCBs and cases sourced from domestic or foreign companies. For China-made ICs, they turn to top suppliers such as Bright Power Semiconductor.
