Hangzhou Himalaya Information Technology Co. Ltd has introduced a desktop 3D scanner, which adopts dual-laser triangulation.

The unit has a 2MP CMOS sensor and can scan 70x130mm to 200x250mm objects. With maximum scanning accuracy of 0.5mm, it can capture 1,600 profiles per circle within 6 to 7 minutes. The device runs on Windows XP and 7 OS. It generates STL, OBJ, PLY and WRL files.

When used with the professional E3000A software, the model can support additional functions such as texture map, measurement and multi-angle merge.

Hangzhou Himalaya specializes in the development and production of desktop 3D printers, 3D scanners and educational equipment. Its in-house R&D team includes at least five engineers. The supplier markets its products under the Himalaya brand.
