Home appliance manufacturer Dyson has released recently its first smart fan, called the Pure Cool Link, which also doubles as an air purifier.

By pairing the fan with a smartphone, users will be able to receive live updates about the air quality, including the humidity and temperature. They will also be able to adjust the unit's various settings such as time and mode from a distance. The mobile app is compatible with iOS and Android devices.

Like most Dyson fans, the Pure Cool Link features a bladeless design and incorporates technology from BreezoMeter to measure air quality. It uses activated carbon and glass HEPA filter, which is said to be able to remove 99.7 percent of pollutants, allergens and bad odor.

The bladeless fan has a desk and tower version. The latter is offered at $499.99. Filters need to be replaced every six months.
