Designed to be a household companion, the Sanbot robot from Qihan Technology Co. Ltd can talk to people with its 3W hi-fi speaker and built-in microphone. It shows video phone calls on the 5.7in 1920x1080-pixel TFT display. Other features include media player, SOS alert and weather report. The robot’s eyes are actually cameras. One takes shots at 5MP and the other at 21MP. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are enabled.

The unit employs an Exynos 7420 CPU and a Mali T760 GPU, and packs 32 to 64GB storage. It runs Flyme 4.5, an Android 5.1-based OS. The 3.2kg robot is powered by a 7.4V, 3,500mAh Sony/ATL Li-polymer battery. Product dimensions are 75x35x35cm.

Qihan Technology can turn out 500 to 1,000 units per month. The company invests more than 10 percent of its annual sales in R&D.
