Altered, a Sweden-based startup, has just introduced a new kind of faucet nozzle called Altered: Nozzle that is said to save up to 98 percent of water used.

The tap does so by modifying the usual water faucet into a sprayer. The mist that comes out of the tap can spread all over one’s hands and utensils washed, eliminating large volume flow in cleaning.

The nozzle is another water-saving kitchen accessory or fixture that was received well, having met its fundraising goal with about 20 days left in its Kickstarter timeline as of this time of writing. Other faucet attachments launched and popular recently are not only water-saving but also getting smarter with the capability to analyze water use. With energy and water conservation growing more important in homes, demand for these products could be higher.
