AC/DC adapters from China manufacturers come in 3 to 300W rated power. Based on input, there are 100 to 240VAC and 90 to 264VAC, and 50/60Hz and 47 to 63Hz types. Releases have built-in safety features.
Units in 3 to 120W form the mainstream selection for their wide adoption in 3C products. Based on technology, switching types lead over traditional linear kinds, with the latter now offered mainly to fill requirements in industrial applications. Models in the first category have efficiency ratings between 80 and 90 percent, and their older variants about 60 percent.
