Solar fuses with interrupting capacity ranging from 10 to 30kA dominate the selection in China. These are IP67 or IP68-rated.
Typical solar fuses in China come in standard 10x38mm packages with rated voltage of 600 to 1,500VDC and rated current of 1 to 20A. In terms of breaking capacity, there are 10, 20 and 30kA variants with response time of less than 1ms.
The mounting options are fuse clips, blocks and global modular fuse holders. Multipole assembly kits of the last are available as well.
Releases from most local makers have an IP67 or IP68 and up to UL94V-0 ratings.
The key materials used in the manufacture of solar fuses include copper and silver for the fuse links, ceramic for the tubes and quartz sand for the arc-extinguishing medium, all of which come from domestic providers.
The supply and cost of these production inputs are expected to remain at current levels in coming months, and ensure stable solar fuse prices.
Tight competition, however, may force some companies to reduce quotes to attract more orders, but the adjustment will not exceed 5 percent.

gPV solar fuse interrupts at 10kA, 1,000VDC
The model PV1000.1A gPV solar fuse from Guangdong Sinobile Energy Technology Co. Ltd has 1A current rating and 10kA interrupting capacity at 1,000VDC. The time constant is 1 to 3ms.
The UL-listed unit suits inverters, combiner boxes and PV wire harnesses. It measures 10x38mm.
The minimum order is 1,000 units. Delivery is within 7 days.
Solar fuse with up to 33kA breaking capacity
Shenzhen Deer Electron Co. Ltd's model HD10PV solar fuse has 1,000VDC and 1 to 20A rated voltage and current, and 33kA maximum interrupting capacity. The response time is less than 1ms.
The 10x38mm unit complies with IEC 60269-6, RoHS and UL requirements, and has pending CCC and TÜV approval.
The minimum order of 100 units is delivered within 3 days.
Solar fuse rated at 1,000VDC, 20A
Shenzhen Guangfasheng Technology Co. Ltd's solar fuse, 1000V10x38mm model, has 1,000VDC rated voltage and 12, 15 or 20A rated current. It meets IEC 60296.6 guidelines.
The negotiable minimum order has a delivery lead time of 3 days.
gPV solar fuse has 25kA breaking capacity
Wenzhou Onkak Impex Co. Ltd's model PVCF10 gPV solar fuse has 1,000VDC and 8 to 25A rated voltage and current, and 25kA rated breaking capacity.
The 10x38mm unit conforms to IEC/EN 60269-6 and TÜV.
The minimum order is 500 units, and delivery is within 7 days.
