The latest models offer children a more enjoyable reading and learning experience with 3D images, sound effects and touch-and-feel elements.
China manufacturers of children's books mix learning with interactivity, offering models that stimulate the readers' senses through creativity and participation.
One book featured in the gallery, for instance, is a fantasy pop-up book with elements that literally jump off the page with its 3D design. Another is a touch-and-feel sound book that teaches children all about animals, including the sound that they make and how their skins or fur will feel like.
In terms of materials, most models have cardboard covers and inside pages that use art paper. The edges of children's books are often rounded to avoid injuries.
Gloss and matte laminations, which lend extra durability and shine, are popular finishes. Offset-printed and silkscreened full-color designs are common.
