Li-polymer batteries are expected to gradually replace Li-ion in the wearables industry. To take advantage of this market opportunity, manufacturers in China are continuing to enhance these products' inherent qualities of high capacity, safety, reliability and long operating life, as well as make them ever more lightweight, compact and ultrathin.
Compared to their Li-ion counterparts, LiPo batteries offer higher capacity at the same size, exhibit no memory effect and have low flammability because of the polymer electrolytes they use instead of liquid materials. In addition, they can be made in various sizes and shapes.
Besides wearable devices, Li-polymer batteries are widely used in electric vehicles, mobile electronics, electric tools and power storage systems. Smartphones and tablet PCs currently account for the bulk of shipments from Chinese suppliers.
Mainstream Li-polymer batteries have a rated capacity of 250mA to 4,000mA, rated voltage of 3.7V and life span of 500 cycles. Minimum thickness is 0.5mm.
Manufacturers in China source cathode and anode materials, organic electrolytes and aluminum shells from domestic providers. The cost of production inputs remained relatively flat in recent months, but product prices dropped slightly due to intense competition. This trend is expected to persist throughout 2021.
3.7V rated voltage, 2,000mAh nominal capacity
The model VB 103450 Li-polymer battery from Dongguan Victory Battery Technology Co. Ltd has 2,000mAh nominal capacity and 3.7V rated voltage. Its charge and discharge temperatures are 0 to 45 C and -20 to 60 C.
The 1,000-unit minimum order has a 15-day lead time.
11.1V rated voltage, 1,000mAh nominal capacity
This VB-LiPo1000mAh-11.1V model from Dongguan Victory Battery Technology Co. Ltd is a Li-polymer battery with 1,000mAh nominal capacity and 11.1V rated voltage. It has 20C continuous and 40C burst discharge rates.

9,000mAh nominal capacity

The unit, with a life span exceeding 1,000 cycles, has built-in overcharge, -discharge, -load and short-circuit protection. It meets UL, CE, KC, BIS, KC, PSE, UN 38.3 and RoHS standards.
The minimum order of 2,000 units has a delivery lead time of 15 days.
4,000mAh nominal capacity
This Li-polymer battery from Shenzhen EPT Battery Co. Ltd, the EPT-656090/4000mAh, has 3.7V nominal voltage, and 0.2C constant and standard discharge rate. It withstands more than 1,000 cycles, and has built-in overcharge, -discharge, -load and short-circuit protection. The charge and discharge temperatures are 0 to 45 C and -20 to 60 C. This model meets UL, CE, KC, BIS, KC, PSE, UN38.3 and RoHS requirements.
An order of at least 2,000 units has a 15-day delivery lead time.
3.7V, 600mAh rated voltage, capacity
For wearables, Shenzhen Vcell Power Technology Co. Ltd's VP403048-600 Li-polymer battery has 3.7V and 600mAh rated voltage and capacity, and 0.2C standard charge and discharge rate. It lasts 700 cycles, and meets CE, UL, CB and RoHS standards.
The supplier requires an order of at least 3,000 units for delivery within seven days.
1,000mAh nominal capacity
Shenzhen Vcell Power Technology Co. Ltd offers this VP533562 Li-polymer battery with 3.7V rated voltage, 1,000mAh nominal capacity, 0.2C standard charge and discharge rate, and less than 1.5 percent monthly self-discharge rate. It meets UL, UN 38.3 and RoHS standards, and suits GPS trackers, Bluetooth earphones and tablet PCs.
The minimum order of 3,000 units is delivered within seven days.
