Local exporters focusing on culture-centric designs

Fashion accessory exporters from India are finding ways to translate India's rich backstory and incorporate it in their upcoming designs. In a report by Developing Country Sourcing, interviewed exporters of fashion accessories are currently focused on creating designs that represent regions of the country or imagery from Hindu mythology, traditional designs that are expected to captivate buyers all over the world.

These designs are anticipated to further boost the fashion accessory industry, which is thriving globally due to intricate design and quality work, a growing population of Indian expats and demand from countries like the US and the Middle East.

Currently, the designs of fashion accessories such as scarves, jewelry and clothing are centered on patterns. Scarves, for one, bear tribal, floral or geometric patterns, while jewelry cuts and designs are more contemporary in style. Clothes, meanwhile, are featuring patterns in a single, huge print or small, repeated prints.

Colors this season are expected to be lighter and feature a mix of bright shades, pastels and neutrals.
