China's mainstream multilayer flexible PCBs have three to six layers, and 2, 3 and 4mil minimum line width and spacing.
Flexible PCBs with three to six layers constitute more than 90 percent of mainland China's supply of multilayer flexible boards, and those exceeding 10 layers the rest.
Typical models have 1.4, 1.6, 2, 2.5, 3 or 4mil minimum line width and spacing, with 2, 3 and 4mil the most common. Holes sizes are 0.1, 0.15, 0.2, 0.25 and 0.3mm. Surface finish options include gold and tin plating, ENIG, immersion tin and OSP.
Makers source materials from local providers, mainly Shengyi and Grace, and Taiwan companies such as Taiflex, ThinFlex, AEM and Microcosm. They also turn to Japan's Arisawa, Nippon Steel and Nitto Denko for FCCLs to comply with buyers' requests.
Due to competition, prices will remain unchanged until this year's end despite rising labor cost.

UL-listed flexible PCB has 6 layers
The FM-5602 model from Fasto (Zhangzhou) Technology Co. Ltd is a 6-layer flexible PCB with 0.01mm polyimide base and cover film, 0.3oz electrodeposited copper on each layer, 0.2mm steel stiffener and ENIG surface finish.
The UL-listed unit has 4.7mil and 2.7mil minimum line width and spacing, and 0.2mm minimum hole size. It is RoHS-compliant.
The model is priced at $0.35. No minimum order is required. Delivery takes 20 days.
4-layer flexible PCB with polyimide base
Golden Shine Circuits Ltd's 4-layer flexible PCB, Shenhtak-0836 model, has a polyimide base and ENIG surface finish.
The 0.2±0.05mm-thick unit has 2.95mil minimum line width and spacing, as small as 0.15mm holes, and ≥18µm surface copper. It meets CQC, RoHS and UL.
The minimum order of 1 unit is delivered within 5 days.
3-layer flexible PCB uses immersion gold
Shenbei Group (HK) Co. Ltd's model SB-F-4L2016088 3-layer flexible PCB has a polyimide base and 2µm immersion gold surface finish.
The 0.25mm-thick unit has 1/1/1oz copper, 3mil and 4mil minimum line width and spacing, and as small as 0.15mm holes. Price is $2.20.
The minimum order of 1 unit has a delivery lead time of 5 days.
4-layer flexible PCB for LCDs
This 4-layer flexible PCB for LCDs from Shenzhen Sienta Industry Co. Ltd, SNT-FPC-011 model, has a 12.5µm polyimide base and coverlay respectively with 18µm copper and 15µm adhesive. The surface finish is ENIG.
The unit measures 157.98x65.9mm. Board thickness is 0.32mm. Price is $2.
