South Korea's selection of water purifiers offers multistage filtration, separate hot and cold water taps and hydrogenating function.
South Korea makers of water purifiers complement key purification feature with value-enhancing functions. Countertop types usually double as dispensers with options for cold and hot water, and come with tanks, pumps or in direct-flow configuration to suit installation space. Under-sink variants, which target small kitchens, emphasize ease of setup and filter replacement. As for floor-standing units, these swap size for a bigger tank capacity.
Filtering methods include reverse osmosis, and ultra- and nanofiltration, with the first widely adopted. Some products have a diaphragm electrolyzer or ion sterilizers, while others are intended for a specific type of water and can add hydrogen for enhanced health benefit.
Local suppliers will continue to diversify their ranges, especially as many are entering the export market amid rising demand.
The products in this gallery have been handpicked by our South Korea-based market analyst for representing current trends in water purifiers in South Korea.

Its three-stage process involves a sediment carbon composite filter, charcoal and ceramic balls, and a nanopositive filter. Per-minute water flow is 1.2L for cold at 5 to 10 C, 0.5L for hot at 80 C and 1.2L for room temperature. The tankless unit also has flow adjustment, cup mode, five-level temperature control, power monitoring and voice guide. All filters are designed for tool-free DIY replacement.

Designed for commercially available bottled water, Magiccos Co. Ltd's model MBH-001 countertop water purifier requires no filter and uses a special diaphragm electrolyzer system instead to auto-remove bacteria, viruses, parasites and turbidity.
