The top 20 home products list on GlobalSources.com welcomed back plastic tumblers in September 2014. After a one-month absence, the category returned to the listing by generating a 456 percent rise in monthly requests for information. This is the highest growth rate in on-month RFIs to be registered in the September listing.

When ranked according to the actual number of inquiries, plastic tumblers grabbed the sixth spot and surpassed nine other newcomers. The category ranked 11th in June.

With reference to annual RFIs, plastic tumblers posted a 257 percent jump. This is the third-highest growth rate in the YoY column. Two new entrants, electric rice cookers and food storage containers, took the front line with 363 and 308 percent gains, respectively. Monthly RFIs for both are likewise solid at 38 and 163 percent.

The latest plastic tumblers from China boast improved user-friendliness and aesthetics as more nonslip features and color-changing designs emerge. Meanwhile, multifunction electric rice cookers and nontoxic food storage containers are high in supply.
