Increasing global warming and heat in the environment are driving consumers to invest in air conditioners, according to Ken Research. Unfortunately, regular use of such units can also cause a surge in energy bills. This is one of the reasons why more affordable and environment-friendly options, including solar air conditioners, have quickly become readily available and popular.

One such example is Haier's 4200RT model, which is designed for large- to medium-scale commercial, industrial and institutional applications. Boasting higher efficiency and a longer life span, the magnetic bearing centrifugal chiller holds the world's largest cooling capacity and can last up to 30 years, twice as long as standard units.

The oil- and friction-free maglev unit can cool a 100,000sqm space with an integrated part load value of 13.18. Though built for heavy-duty use, the 4200RT model consumes 50 percent less energy than traditional air conditioners.

In terms of upkeep, the AI-ready unit requires little to no human intervention, instead adopting a self-cleaning driverless system for fully automated maintenance.

To date, Haier has manufactured 539 magnetic bearing centrifugal chillers, taking 81 percent market share of this budding subsector. As part of its contribution to the government's China Manufacturing 2025 strategy, the consumer electronics and home appliances giant built the world's first factory dedicated to creating AI-ready and connected air conditioners that are environment-friendly and help support the green building sector. The 4200RT model is just one example of this, boasting energy conserving capabilities and reduces emissions.
