High-end 4G phone with fingerprint recognizer

Huawei's Ascend Mate 7 is powered by the company's self-developed Kirin 925 chipset.

The Ascend Mate 7 is the latest high-end 4G phone from Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. Retailing at US$638-US$766, this phone features a fingerprint recognizer on its back. It can be used to unlock the phone anytime or verify certain apps. This built-in fingerprint system, the TruseZone, can store five fingerprints at the same time. The chipset is Huawei's self-developed Kirin 925. It is a 4+4 core chipset (1.8GHz A15 x 4 + 1.3GHz A7 x 4) and contains 2GB RAM, 16GB ROM/3GB RAM and 32 GB ROM. In addition, Ascend Mate 7 uses its own intelligent power technology that can dramatically increase its power. This intelligent power technology automatically turns off some applications when the remaining power reaches a certain level.

Launched in September, this phone measures 157x81x7.9mm and weighs 185g. Its main body is made of Al-Mg alloy. It has a 6in capacitive touchscreen with a 1920x1080-pixel resolution. It supports multi-touch control. The front camera shoots at 5MP while the back camera shoots at 13MP. It has a 4,100mAh battery that can be fully charged in 3.5 hours.
