SupplyWorks and BrandExpress are seen to boost the home improvement giant’s Pro service.

Home Depot announced that it would acquire Florida-based Interline Brands. The deal, valued at $1.63 billion, is expected to be closed by November this year.

According to Home Depot CEO and president Craig Menear, Interline can help improve their Pro business, which caters mostly to professional contractors and builders, both in the store and any desired outside location.

An outside sales force, fulfillment capabilities in the MRO market (maintenance, repair, and operations), and an extensive distribution network in the US, Canada, and Puerto Rico are some of the advantages of Interline, a firm that offers facilities maintenance and repair services.
