Girls going through puberty have to deal with the onset of their monthly periods, a daunting task for the uninformed. Not all parents have the ability nor the desire to explain the changes in their daughter's body and the adjustments she needs to take to adapt to them.
In response, the creator of the Lammily has come up with an extension pack that aims to help young girls learn about their monthly cycles. The Lammily doll has been dubbed as the "Normal Barbie" for its realistic proportions and features such as cellulite and acne.
The Period Party includes an educational pamphlet, a pair of underwear that fits the Lammily doll, colorful sanitary pad- and liner-shaped stickers, and a calendar with dot stickers. Girls can practice putting on a pad or liner by attaching the sticker to the underwear. The calendar and dot stickers help them keep track of their cycles.
The Period Party retails for $10 and is ready to ship by November.
