Designed by Francisco Gomez Paz, the Candela lamp effectively incorporates modern technology in an old-fashioned household product.

Candela features a tank that contains 300mL of bioethanol, which can provide six hours of light. When the lamp is lighted, its built-in battery automatically charges and harvests energy from the flame, which would then be used to power the LED lamp and charge mobile devices via USB.

The lamp can be used indoors and outdoors. It is made of recyclable materials such as opalescent glass and aluminum. The unit stands 24.1cm with a diameter of 18.6cm.
