The company is expected to flood the market with as many smart watches as possible and see which would click—a similar strategy adopted by Samsung.

LG to showcase round-faced LG G Watch R smart watches

LG is set to announce another smart watch just a couple of months after its initial release of the Android Wear-based LG G smart watch. However, instead of square, the new smart watch is expected to have a round face. LG teased the watch on its Facebook page recently and has now officially released a few images of the device, called the LG G R.

Coming soon after the expected release of the similar Moto G watch - another round-faced Android Wear smart watch - it appears as though LG is going for a similar approach to Samsung: flood the market with as many smart watches as possible and see what sticks and what doesn't. It's clear that both manufacturers expect the segment to take off soon.
