VR headsets are getting more lightweight and improving content in HD.

Improved HD, richer content and portability are key trends in the Mobile VR category at the Mobile Electronics show.

Enhanced materials and design are making VR headsets more lightweight and wearable. At just 88g, for example, the Dlodlo V1 almost passes for a pair of ordinary sunglasses. More VR hardware firms are teaming up with third-party providers to offer wider options for games and entertainment, while HD videos like that used in Deepoon’s latest headset increase realism and immersion.

The second phase, Mobile Electronics, runs from October 18 to 21 at AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong. The show includes 2,500 booths featuring smartphones, tablets, wearable devices and mobile accessories.

Ninety percent of exhibitors are exclusive to the show.
