EMI filters are widely used across electronics applications to suppress noise and interference in circuits. For better performance, new versions are optimized to have a high filtering efficiency but a low insertion loss to ensure that they minimize disruption in signal transmission.

To guarantee enhanced suppression capability and reliability, some Chinese manufacturers of EMI filters have added components while maintaining designs compliant with the miniaturization trend. Shanghai Meisongbei, for instance, has introduced a series with a toroidal inductor and a bleeder resistor. These general-purpose devices, with 110/250V rated voltage and 1 to 50A rated current, have an IEC 320 socket for a secure connection, although other output terminal options are available.

Commonly produced EMI filters in China are single- and three-phase variants with 250 or 480VAC rated voltage, 10 to 600A rated current and -25 to 100 C operating temperature. These are generally compliant with industry safety standards, including UL, cUL, CE, CB, CSA, ENEC and RoHS.

China-made EMI filters are made using passive components, such as inductors, capacitors and resistors. These inputs are sourced from domestic or overseas suppliers, including Murata, TKD, Taiyo Yuden, Yageo, Chilisin, Fenghua Advanced, Sunlord and Three-Circle.

After experiencing fluctuations in the past year, Chinese companies are optimistic component costs and EMI filter prices will stabilize in the months ahead.
