Belgian architect Thomas Hick has designed an innovative and minimalist version of the traditional lamp.

The Folding Lamp consists of a 0.024in-thick sheet of stainless steel with dotted lines indicating where it can be folded. Users can also personalize the product by folding the sheet into other shapes.

An LED plate provides illumination, which shines through the folded lines for a decorative touch. The lamp is equipped with a touch-sensitive sensor that allows the user to power on/off and adjust the light's intensity with a tap.

Six color combinations are available, namely matte black and gold, matte white and gold, matte white and copper, sanded matter white and red chili, brilliant black and white pearl, and brushed stainless steel and red chili.

The origami-inspired lamp is laser-cut for high precision and measures 19x19in. When folded, it can have a width of 14in and a height of 10in. With an accompanying 110 to 220V EU, US or UK plug, the product is suitable for travel.
