Good commercial lighting can do wonders for any business and make all the difference when it comes to safety, comfort and performance – it improves productivity in the workplace, enhances mood and well-being, and provides a safer working environment for employees.
Commercial lights are used in a wide variety of applications that include offices, warehouses, hospitals, schools, government buildings and stores. These lights have a longer life span, better energy efficiency and superior durability than other types of lighting but usually have higher initial costs and require higher maintenance.
Technological advancements, however, have made it possible for manufacturers to develop types that are not just energy-saving and long-lasting but are also competitively priced and low maintenance. LED lights, for instance, are growing in popularity due to their long life span and low energy consumption. In fact, according to TechSci Research, office LED lights are among the biggest retrofit trends for businesses globally. The introduction of smart and connected solutions, and increased adoption of solar-powered systems are also driving the growth of the commercial lighting market.
The commercial lighting market is expected to reach $21.8 billion by 2025 from its 2020 value of $8.2 billion, posting a CAGR of 21.5 percent as per research company MarketsandMarkets. The report added that the Asia-Pacific region is set to be the fastest-growing market, owing to the rapid infrastructure developments undertaken, mainly in China.
