Smart mattress companion lulls user to sleep

A US start-up has returned to Kickstarter to raise funds for BedJet v2, which features biorhythm temperature technology that helps users fall asleep faster and stay in dreamland longer. The same technology taps the body's biorhythm to gently wake the sleeper up.

The original BedJet is said to be the world's first ultra-rapid cooling, heating and climate control system for beds.

Like its predecessor, BedJet v2 has a nozzle that fits underneath the bedding to blow warm or cold air while users sleep. Its new "brain" wakes up users by adjusting automatically the temperature of the air it is blowing to match the changes in body temperature during sleep.

BedJet v2 connects with smartphones and tablets via Bluetooth LE. iOS and Android versions of the app are available.

The product's special temperature neutral sweat drying mode gets rid of heavy night sweats by ventilating the bed and pulling all the moisture of the sleeper's body while protecting it from freezing or overheating.
