Smart security lights 'greet' visitors, deter intruders

A company called Kuna has recently added automated greeting features to its smart security lights selection.

The smart lights, coming in modern and retro styles, have cameras recording 720p videos day and night, and improved intercom functions. Early versions alert of and let users hear and talk to visitors via a smartphone app, and now, these outdoor fixtures can play automatically prerecorded voice messages when visitors arrive. The security lights can also let out a chime and other sounds to scare away intruders once motion is sensed.

The smart lights are easy to install without wires, cables and drilling, and are weather-resistant.

While there are already many motion sensor lights out in the market, Kuna’s new automatic features make the security lights different for these can emulate human speech. Visitors can feel that they are entertained immediately by the homeowner at the doorstep. Intruders, meanwhile, might really think that a real person nearby has caught them and spoke to them. Homeowners now have another way to enhance home security and hospitality.
