Water conservation is a necessary part of sustainability, achieved by reducing wastage not just in the actual amount of water used but also in the energy required to process and distribute it. This is one of the reasons water-saving or low-flow showerheads are popular. Globally, this market reached $898.8 million in 2020 and is forecast to go up to about $1.08 billion by 2027 at CAGR of 3.1 percent, according to Market Reports World.
To take advantage of this growth, many showerhead suppliers in South Korea offer such products. They have nonaerating types with ultrafine holes to increase water pressure and aerating versions that add air to make water droplets larger and seem in greater volume. Both options enhance the showering experience while reducing water consumption by as much as 50 percent.
For value addition, South Korean companies also produce filtered showerheads, which help eliminate toxic contaminants, including rust, residual chlorine and bacteria, and are infused with vitamins and extracts for additional water purification, skin moisturizing and aromatherapy benefits. Some of these filters can be bundled with showerheads or sourced separately.
