Spring is practically synonymous with florals, a theme expected to dominate seasonal houseware selections in 2016.

Showrooms at the latest New York Tabletop Market "bloomed" with flowers, with Royal Limoges highlighting a 1930s floral pattern modernized with vibrant colors. A dandelion motif in teal and charcoal gray peppered teacups, teapots, and pitchers from Portmeirion.

Pastels are also very much part of spring, and color blocking plates in white and yummy lilac from Vista Alegra showed this. Delicate gold filigree with tiffany blue on platters made their way at Deshoulières.

French chinaware brand Robert Haviland & C. Parlon's carried a more subdued note with taupe plates rimmed with gold, while embossed geometric shapes on bowls and cups from Mikasa are suitable for the ultra-minimalist.

Arte Italica's coastal them lended a shabby chic vibe to ceramicware. Heavy ceramic trays and dishes shaped as delicate seashells were part of Juliska's collection.
